PAHUYUTH
Pahuyuth is fighting knowledge from Southeast Asia. It includes seven different martial arts disciplines that can be learned individually and combined seamlessly. There are two disciplines of unarmed combat (MUAI, LING LOM) and five disciplines of armed combat (MEED, DAAB, GRABONG, MAI SAWK, SABAI).
MUAI is standing combat using the body’s four types of weapons: fist, foot, elbow and knee.
LING LOM is unarmed Pahuyuth using all the body’s own possibilities and conditions.
MEED (knife) is armed combat with hand-length objects used as improvised weapons.
MAI SAWK (shield) is armed combat with forearm-length objects used as improvised weapons.
DAAB (sword) is armed combat with arm-length objects as improvised weapons and swords.
GRABONG (staff) is armed combat with body-length objects used as improvised weapons.
SABAI (scarf) is armed combat with flexible objects used as improvised weapons
Self-defense is the defense necessary to avert a present unlawful attack against oneself or another.
